Who are you, Christian Woman?

In this 4-part series by Ellen Cook, the meaning behind the CWLC name (and mission) will be illuminated and explored.  We begin with the first and MOST IMPORTANT aspect of who we are and why our organization exists:

CHRISTIAN Women’s Leadership Circle

One-third of the world’s population proclaim to be Christians, over 75% of them living in areas with severe religious restrictions.1 Horrifying details of Christian persecution fills our media. Cultural changes threaten religious freedom daily. Even in the US – a country founded with Christian principles – increasing personal pressure is felt within workplaces, neighborhoods – even families – eroding our enthusiasm to shine brightly as faith-filled believers that “belong to Christ.” But, thanks be to God! We Christians have been chosen by our Creator, deriving power and purpose from an eternal spiritual Source.

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
(1 John 4:4)

Our renewable Power-Source strengthens and preserves us throughout this life and into the next.  God’s Word and Sacrament grows our Christ-like attitude to love and serve one another. THIS foundational starting point motivates each member of the Christian Women’s Leadership Circle. THIS Christian foundation keeps us alive and In Christ; fully equipped and focused on trusting and serving our Savior. Despite evil worldly forces we face, His grace, His undeserved love, inspires us to press on as confident Christian representatives.

To God be the glory!
